It’s bad to smoke and that’s
no joke.
You’re a fool if you think it’s cool
To take a drag so you could brag,
Because it’s a fact that your lungs turn black,
Then cancer strikes and knocks you down
and soon your buried underground.
Your body’s neglected and your heart affected.
The smokes will kill, so make it your will
To just say no and let it go.
If you had predicted you wouldn’t be addicted,
But that’s not so, you didn’t know it’s hard
to let go.
A heart attack will bring you pain if your lucky to remain.
My Grandpa Joe was just 62, if only he knew if was his last day
His next birthday a week away.
So happy was he a retiree, a day of golf feeling so free,
To have it all end while watching T. V.
His eyes filled with fright, he died Sunday night.
How Grandma cried when my Grandpa died,
Quitting she tried but then she died at 64,
And for my Dad they were no more.
He’s so sad for his mom and dad,
I see his tears when he remembers the years.
Now they’re gone and I hope before long
My Dad can be strong and find a way to quit someday,
So at 63 he will be there for me and our family.
The secondhand smoke is hurting me,
What he blows out I breath in and I feel like it’s a sin.
So open the window or step outside, or better yet,
QUIT WITH PRIDE!
